Apply for funding from Buffalo State College's department for Creative Studies (or some other grantmaker within that college). Since this project implements their Creative Problem Solvling model, they may be very interested in funding an overseas project that uses their method [almost 11 years ago]

The African Development Bank group funds projects that spur sustainable economic development and social progress in participating countries. They are a resource we could apply for funding from, see http://www.afdb.org/en/about-us/. Also, they have a list of initiatives and partnerships that we can look at for either advice or as a further funding request resource http://www.afdb.org/en/topics-sectors/initiatives-partnerships/ [almost 11 years ago]

If we aren't planning to already, we should aim to teach leaders of the Himalayan Institute (probably Jeff Abella) exactly what we are doing, or make a point for the youth that we do train to perform leadership training of other youth in 3 months time (time frame just for example) and to keep training youth once we are gone. When this is set concretely, use this as leverage in funding requests, because showing that our project is not just a one-time deal gives a funding request more strength. [almost 11 years ago]

Look for companies that are trying to start green micro enterprises (or the like) in Africa, and see if they would be willing to contribute money to fund our team to go there, in return for showing them our method/resources that we are leaving behind and allowing them to repeat it in the same area or other places [almost 11 years ago]

Rather than saying Sustainable Earth Solutions is conducting this project, frame ourselves as a Youth Sustainability Leadership Buidling Team, and use SES as our strength to prove that we have experience and something real to teach (rather than looking like a random group of people). I say this because it seems to be difficult finding funds as a business, but we may be able to get more funds as an experienced team looking to make a difference(where Dave and Bob are obviously the experience here) [almost 11 years ago]
