Wrap and seal a larger sleeve (with an attached collector) around the pipe. Once the seal is in place pierce the pipe with several smaller holes to allow the oil to drain into the sleeve (and out the collector) before it reaches the top of the pipe. [over 13 years ago]
Tap into the pipe below the opening with multiple taps like the ones used to tap into water pipes for running a water line to a refrigerator. Connect several smaller taps to gradually reduce or eliminate the flow at the break. [over 13 years ago]
