Stock Market guys. coz they are the ones playing with all of our money and have that little piece of pad and a pen.Dont look sofisticated at all from any prespective. Pull up a billboard with the most successful stock broker using this pen and winning and rest with the traditional style losing.

Make the papers perforated with post-it adhesive and market it to brainstorming companies
14.
Market it to kids
13.
As a promotional activity, tie up with book stores to give these pens as gift attachments with books
12.

Great idea. Loved the cylindrical roll type 'rtvik'(#3) mentioned, which I first saw in a pen store in June 2006. However this one has wider paper that is already flat (or wont' curl up again like the roll type) so that is a good WIIFM proposition. It's slimmer too and wide enough to even accommodate another intrument (pencil or LED light or eraser). Perhaps have other options like photo stickers that moms can print of their children to stick on there. Lanyard loop for hanging around neck.
10.
Market it as a networking tool at networking events. Find a person you want to talk further with, write your number down with ideas you discussed... an instant business card. Good for speed dating ;)

Perhaps this is too far "out of the box," but why not create a reverse product as well (i.e. paper with a pen built in)? Contact me if you want more ideas on how that could work...

Consider as a case study: Pen Again (http://www.penagain.com/) as written up in the WSJ and elsewhere. Ignoring for the moment the relative merits of their product, they seem to have been successful in promoting it.

Great free give-a-way if personalized by company; job fair give-a-way?

Market to Women - we are always digging in our purses, writing on the back of receipts, etc

I think giving it as part of Corporate Training course, where a Pen and a writing pad is usually given , would make a definite point, viz, Resource utilization through Innovation.
4.
As a "gadget" it plays - market it through premium wholesalers of "tchotchkes." Beyond that market, it's doomed. In fact, it has been my observation that premium wholesalers are becoming more discerning as they are finding that people are simply refusing to take swag that is useless or just a blantant excuse for brand spam. A good trend IMHO. This is a fun exercise in industrial engineering, a heinous waste of an investor's money, though.

i think u shud aim at travel agents and businessmen who travel a lot!!!students generally carry around a notebuk..businessmen dont.
2.
The reason is that I only want a pen that's smart, handy and writes really smooth....paper is almost always available at disposal--a newspaper edge, the back of a biz card or pull-out pads... Nbdy will bother will refilling the pen once it runs out of the initial load of paper.
1.
but I seriously doubt the success of the pen. I've seen pens with stamp pads, with mini-flashlights and suchlike...but nothing that entices the common user.

I saw a similar pen-only that it looked more user friendly as it was cylindrical and the paper could be unrolled out...
-1.
Perhaps students will use this pen if its marketed through book stores.
-2.
List it in promotional product catalogues so people can put their company's logo on it and give it away.
