I would really love to see philanthropy and philanthropic people mainstreamed. A magazine, tv show, award ceramonys, etc. A choice of focus instead of all Brittney and Paris. This would bring focas to these people and groups, and push donations.

You could combine KickStart.org model with crowdspirit.org model and create devices that improve the lives of people around the world. The philanthropy would then be not just cash-contribution, but knowledge contribution too.

I think more organizations can be like kiva.org which is philanthropy that lets you track the progress of the people you help and get value back in due time.

I really like the model of schoolpop.com where giving becomes a part of everyday shopping and adds meaning to life in a value-added way.
