Invite non-profits. They are often looking for opportunities for increasing awareness of their organization (and donors).

Look for top authors who are promoting their books or CEOs who are promoting their website to your audience (students). They will always be happy to come and speak for free and share valuable knowledge while plugging in a line in the end about their book/website.

Contact local non-profits (Rotary, Kiwanis, etc.) , asking for a list of upcoming speakers (and a mention that you're looking for speakers as well).

Put out a request for speakers. There are generally many people in your area looking for a chance to talk about their travels, business, etc.

Identify potential speakers, contact them and check if they have alternative sources of funding. Some of them might be paied by parent organizations, charitable institution for delivering lectures.

Find out when speakers are doing public appearances local to you. Ask their management/agent if - for a reduced fee - they could meet the students after for a brief presentation.

Find a guest speaker and hire a local hall or theatre for an afternoon/evening for their speech or presentation. Make the event also open to those who aren't students - members of the public etc. Everyone pays at the door. Ask the speaker if they would mind sparing some time after to talk with the students only.
