Most importantly, in my opinion, is to make people feel welcome. Give them free internet access--nothing annoys people more than paying for a nice hotel and then being forced to pay out another $10-20 for internet access. That always says two things about the hotel: 1. We're out of date (even McDonalds offers free internet) and 2. It's important to us to squeeze every single penny we can out of our customers. 100 Tips For Improving Your Creativity

Make impossible and radical statements on purpose. E.g. People should get paid for not working. Then continue on that line of thought until your brain comes up with an idea that makes it possible. [about 12 years ago]

100 Tips For Improving Your Creativity

100 Tips For Improving Your Creativity

Open a book and point randomly to a word. Force your mind to make a connection between the problem you were trying to solve and this completely unrelated random word. Sounds completely illogical, but works. [about 12 years ago]

100 Tips For Improving Your Creativity

Sit in a public place and watch people try to do a common task. Take notes about what they're doing, especially problems or snags they encounter. Think of ways to fix those issues. [about 12 years ago]
