Wow, There are some good ideas here. This one may fail to compare but should be said... meditation and affirmations.

Associate negative thoughts with positive thoughts. I created a sound wave with my voice saying negative thoughts, than a disrupting derogative remark, followed by a motivational statement from a movie that I could visualize while listening. The recording was 90 seconds, I listen to it for 5 minutes a day while I drive. Everytime I have that negative thought, I get motivated.
