I would like to be able to apply and get answers to loan requests online immediately. It should not be easier for me to get a car loan through a car dealer.

I loathe ATM fees. I can't stand it when I have to pay one at the ATM machine and then another by my bank later on for not using one of their ATMs. And even if the ATM itself is surcharge free, I know one will be coming from my bank.

I hate ATM Fees with a passion. I will drive 5 miles out of the way to go to a free ATM before I use one where I have to pay.

I have a money market account on which I'm limited to six withdraw transactions a month before I get charged a fee per transaction. I would like a way to find out now many trnasactions I've done so far in a month -- other than calling customer service -- e.g., an option in the automated system.

I would like aan account/tool that allows for pre set parameter to know and pay my bills automatically. Further, the tool would ensure that a defined Checking balance is maintained by shifting funds between savings, checking and a LOC. Also, whenever one of these automated transactions takes place I'd like the option of receiving an email notification. Lastly, I'd like the comfort of this account being monitored for fraud in some way to feel safe that the automation is not subject to theft.

I would like to see some online chats especially when the office is closed and be able to complete transactions and see any changes updated immediately online without having to drive to the branch to sign something or talk to someone in person

I would like a web-enabled tool that kept me up to date with all of my account balances and transactions that posted. A realtime quicken tool on steriods. If I could get one Financial Institution that was market competitve with this tool, I would move everything to them.

2D Barcodes - How could this technology be used within a FI? Products on the market like Scanlife are easily downloaded to your cell phone or blackberry. Credit Union or FI could use the barcodes for marketing of their products. What other uses?

Identification Technology - Wouldn't it be nice if the FI knew all about the member the minute they walked through the door, drive through or online banking. Either some type of radio frequency identification, cellular technology or a chip inside a CU issued card.

I'd like remote deposit capture for checks so I don't have to go to the credit union or ATM and mobile banking.

For those of us who do not ever enter the branch, it is a pain when you receive a check because you have to go to the branch to deposit it. It would be nice to have a way to enter the check information online and deposit it directly through online banking.

The credit union I have dealt with in the past has a website. I haven't used my account in a while, but deposit to it every month. I tried to sign up to use the website and it wouldn't work. Of course I tried to call them and they were closed. It would be nice for the credit union to offer help and have a person to chat with online to assist me in setting up the online account.

I hate calling my credit union and being told to press a button for my account balances. I know how to use audio and Internet banking. When I call I want to speak to a human being. And stop asking me if I want to speak in Spanish.

Just give me the information I want, don't try to sell me on everything else they offer or make me apply when I'm only asking a question. If I'm trying to find out if they offer debt consolidation loans, I don't want to give them my life history...just a quick yes or no will do. Quick reference tools around what they offer and some simple guidelines or qualifying ranges would be great!

Keep a record of Member calls/issues and be proactive. I recently had an issue with a payday deduction posting to the wrong account that went on from December to March. Each time I called I had to explain the issue from the start, and what Member Service Rep had done what in the ensuing weeks. I then had to "wait and see" if the next payday posting was correct or not, it would have been nice if someone beside me was monitoring the issue as when it did post wrong I would have to call once again.

Financial institutions should debit transactions in the order they are made. Not based on the transaction for the highest amount, who came up with this?? Now you get a NSF Fee for a million things not just the transaction that put your account in the negative. But I guess they have to make money somehow.

I have no "pain points". All I basically need from my financial institution is for it to keep my money safe, let me get at it through Home Banking and not charge fees - and it does that.

I have been wih my credit union for a long time and it would be nice to reward long time members. There are always incentives for new members, but what about something for the long time customer and I am not talking about a T-shirt or hat. Give me a free service for a year or something along those lines.

The fees associated with using my debit card to withdrawal cash are too high. Also, it would be nice if I had the ability to do direct deposit into my account (Canadian RTN).

I get frustrated whenever I receive a check. It is impossible to get to a branch - even if I wanted to - and the hours & locations are not good. I hate with a passion the marketing mailings and website goo. I want to quickly take care of my financial needs without clicking all over the place. Let me configure my home page when I log in (PC - iPhone etc). I want more history available on line. Once it goes to history it becomes hard to research transactions. Automatation is the key.

My ideal financial institution should act very similarly to a Credit Union in that it would recognize, with it's technology, all of my related accounts (Money Markets, Loans, Business Checking, Personal Checking). To this point, they should be able to offer me further services which they find would benefit me and my lifestyle. Home-Banking products would be easy, safe & efficient. I would hope their communication channels & banking channels would evolve at the same rate of today's technology.

My ideal financial institution should know everything about me and any associated accounts I have. I should be personally contacted when any savings opportunity related to my account or any of my family members is available. I should have a 360 degree view of everything with the quickest navigation to complete any changes or adds to my accounts without having to travel to a branch or call a CSR. Fingertip access via home banking + through mobile as well with reaffirmation of why I should stay.

The financial institution should just recognize me (facial recognition?) with their technology if I am a member. There should be security on their end to ensure my financial safety. All my transactions should be secured safely and their methods should receive all my receipts electronically. A download should be available to send any of my information to another company for taxes, accounting, or whatever purpose deemed necessary. That's all I want.

Be able to take advantage of the best deals available from each institution but to have a comprehensive view of all of the information. If I used money in my emergency fund for home repairs, I want to be able to see a picture of my spending that includes all accounts that provided money for home repairs. I want this available online so that if I think of a question when I'm at work or away from my home PC, I can look it up and I want it to automatically update from each credit card or FI.

First of all, I would want to opt out of marketing. I chose the Financial Institution for a reason (convenience, rates, etc...) and in all likelihood I will not move my account. It's too much of a hassle. When I need a financial instrument (loan, CD, etc..) I'm going to go there. Second, I only notify me when things go "wrong" (NSF, suspicious activity). I don't want to spend time on a homebanking site.

If anything was possible, how would you do your banking? As already mentioned before, it would absolutely be the ability to pay and/or receive funds from/to anyone through my cell phone.

If anything was possible, how would you do your banking? I would want a PFM program, similar to a Quicken, that would automatically track and categorize my purchases for me as I make them. I could enter my purchases into my phone as I make them and have it automatically update my balance, and then show that it was reconciled when the transaction goes through. It would also be categorized to see where I'm spending my money.

I want one integrated statement (electronic, of course) that shows deposit & savings accounts, credit card account, mortgage and rewards. And since I also have a small business account I want to see both the personal and the business account activity in the same statement.

If anything was possible, how would you do your banking? From a beach in the caribbean with a drink in one hand and a mobile device in the other. Seriously though I hate going into bank branches and avoid it at all costs.

My CU is great at all aspects of member services and product offerings. The monthly communication newsletter from the CU/CEO is very conservative almost to reflecting a political point of view. The content seldom changes issue to issue. So the member communications would be the area they need to improve.

I do not want to go to a branch office for anything. I want all my documents available online. I want to be able to transfer/receive monies (online/mobile) to/from anyone at any time (realtime). I want ONE login to see ALL my accounts at any FI - including brokerage firms. I want to be notified when my charge card has been used and an option to have CASH back when using my CC.

The tellers always try to get me to sign up for whatever the latest promotion is. Honestly, I'd like a way to opt out of this. I don't particularly like the bank and will never sign up for any of their promotional cards/benifits/whatevers. I tell them at least twice a month that I do indeed know about their bill pay program and no...I don't want to sign up for it.
