Open your eyes and se every little thing around you, instead of beeing in your head most of the time. Your brain is more limited than what is happening around you in the world. So you have to open your eyes into widevinkel- sight.

Understand that the writing process takes many revisions so alternate between writing and revising

keep a diary or a mobile phone, if u r tech savvy, and jot down something interesting that you saw/hear. Whenever you read them, you're bound to form some story around some event. Also, maintaining a blog helps. Visit other blogs too, that'll open up ur perspective and u'll think of more things to write. You can also post your written entries to online competitions.

A cognitive behavioural therapist will tell you that trying to motivate yourself before you write is going about things the wrong way. A better way is to start slowly with easily-reachable goals. Then motivation follows that.

When you go to bed, know what you are going to start on the next day when you write and make it simple - something like scribbling words or listing movies. That way, you won't put off starting, because you haven't put yourself under any pressure to perform well
