The publishing world is very fickle. There are a lot of independent publishing sales groups that you could work with (your initial print-run may determine how seriously these groups take you). Google book search is a free service. Also, create a website/blog and participate in related blogs (with a link back to your site). Significant reviews can be very difficult to get unless you have a great publicist. As mentioned earlier, obtaining an ISBN is essential. Sell the idea to US publishers.

Convince someone living in the states to buy your book in bulk and then give him the opportunity to sell it to local bookstores
7.
Email book reviewers from magazines and newspapers and tell them about your book. Tell them if they review the book, you will send them a free copy
1.
Use US based self-publishing services like http://lulu.com and Amazon.com's Book Surge that will help you get your book into many online/offline distribution channels.
