The publishing world is very fickle. There are a lot of independent publishing sales groups that you could work with (your initial print-run may determine how seriously these groups take you). Google book search is a free service. Also, create a website/blog and participate in related blogs (with a link back to your site). Significant reviews can be very difficult to get unless you have a great publicist. As mentioned earlier, obtaining an ISBN is essential. Sell the idea to US publishers.
