Politically responsive central banks have universally proven themselves to destroy economies by printing money to enable bad legislative decisions on budget matters. What gets me is how "gov't" our private central bank is. Inflation is the printing of money, with the consequence of rising prices. Keep that cart and horse in correct order and you won't question private central banks.
