What are your thoughts on the 'horse suit'?
I'm not quite sure what to think about this idea so I'd like to hear what people think. The idea is easiest to explain by explaining how it would look: it would like a diver's wetsuit attached to a horse. The idea is that a rider wears the suit when riding and thus cannot fall from a horse. I'm kind of thinking it's a good idea but I'm not sure! Would it be dangerous? Would it have some actual applications or is just an interesting thought experiment? Would like to hear general thoughts, applications, or ideas generated if this is treated as a 'What if?' thought experiment

Maybe more reasonable to think of how humans fall in the types of mishaps horses and riders get into, and create appropriate body armor for a safe riding experience. One has to be able to get away from a falling horse in a falling accident, so affixing the rider is very bad. The horse will twist and wallow (totally forgetting you are up there) to right itself, and you're not going to win.

What if the suit was magnetic and the saddle on the horse could also be magnetic, so it helps keep the rider fixed.

Perhaps you could sell this to jockeys in training!
3.
Interesting idea. You could provide a belt for the horse that has velcro on it and the suit could stick to the belt using the velcro.
2.
Jockeys could wear the suit in races. (There would be a danger in jump races if a horse falls and the jockey is attached to the horse, so maybe a release mechanism would need to invented)
1.
Young people learning to ride would be more confident when starting as there would be no fear of falling off
