Individual citizens need to fix how they over-consume and live beyond their means.

However, the biggest problem is the debt and the deficit of both the government and of individuals. We need to decrease spending, balance the budget, prioritize tax-payer's money, cut taxes. Encourage saving versus racking up debt.

Sometimes you just have to let the recession happen. The economy runs in cycles. Recessions are supposed to happen. Just like in nature we have four seasons. The economy goes up and down but over the long term we will be o.k. We can't go up,up,up nonstop without taking a break. In a true free-market economy we should tamper as least as is possible. Let the markets work themselves out.
