How to make riding a bike on icy surfaces safer?
I have to ride my bike to work. It's a thoroughly enjoyable and refreshing experience whatever the weather, but I worry about the safety aspects - particularly when surfaces are icy. Can you think of any solutions to the problem? If there are any existing solutions to the problem then please let me know about those too! Also, how dangerous is it? Am I over-reacting to the problem?

Create an inverted plastic "V" shaped device that attaches to the front and back wheels, thus preventing - or slowing - any falls resulting from slips
