Has anyone done a "last known photo" blog or website? Would be interesting to see the last photos of the great and good.
38.
Blog about your pet rock. There aren't enough stories about rocks nowadays. I'd read it every day.
36.
A "learn a subject in five years" blog. Every day post a lesson that will only take a couple of minutes to read and learn. Over five years the learner will build up knowledge of the subject in manageable chunks. This would be good for learning a language - maybe one new word a day could be presented, with occasional lessons on grammar.
35.
A blog that interviews a different blogger each day. To save time compiling the blog, a standard format with say, twenty five questions could be compiled and sent out to bloggers.
34.
The "company gossip" blog. Invite visitors to (anonymously!) write the gossip about their company and its workers. Change the names to avoid any problems.
33.
Each day, choose one celebrity, sportsperson or politician. Link to controversial opinions about them (on news sites and in blogs). Ask blog visitors to post both positive and negative opinions about the person. Allow visitors to rate the person with a "thumbs up" or "thumbs down".
32.
Compile a blog that features all that week's questions from TV quiz shows. (Copyright issues?)
31.
Do an "on this day" blog for a specific subject. Eg: Beatles - something like "On this day the Beatles went to the recording studio for the first time" or " On this day the Beatles received their MBEs at Buckingham Palace". You could also do more general ones such as "On this day in the music world" etc. You could also manufacture a desk calendar once you have compiled enough information.
29.
"How things ended" blog. Invite blog visitors to explain how well-known, long-running TV series (or movie series) ended. You could probably work the contributions into a Wikipedia article.
28.
A "before and after" blog. Visitors who have undergone an image change (got tattoos, changed hair, plastic surgery etc) can provide before-and-after pictures.
27.
A "house of horrors" blog. Every day feature a gruesome image from the net, or a gruesome news story.
26.
A "key knowledge to memorize for quizzes" blog. The same categories feature again and again in quizzes (For example: capital cities, British monarchs, Prime Ministers, Wonders of the World). Provide the answers so that (obsessive) quizzers can memorize the information. Visitors would enjoy suggesting new topics and providing answers.
25.
A "what's been funny on TV this week" blog. Feature funny lines from sitcoms, and great gags from panel shows (such as (UK) 'Have I got news for you'). You could also discuss funny news stories.
22.
Feature a different band/singer each day and say where to find the best bootlegs online (and perhaps offline).
13.
People from your country who are excelling (and possibly the best in the world!) at obscure sports.
12.
Technorati gives a list of items that receive the most searches. You could do daily posts that lists each item and explains why each item is search-worthy and you could give more information about that item. In years to come it could serve as a historical record of what people wanted to talk about and search for.
4.
What are you good at? Passionate about? Think about a lot? Have controversial opinions about?
