Reading books online has been around a while - the hurdle isn't tech, it's publishers. The day we can monetize the electronic book effectively enough to entice authors to bypass traditional publishers, your idea will happen automagically and everyone will say "duh!" :-)

This is actually a good brainstorming topic - but Web 3.0 is about using today's technology (all Web is rehash or repurposing of existing (15 year old) tech) - So WHAT would be cool to do via the net that currently is a pain to do traditionally - THAT's where you will find Web 3.0

Hahaha - Good one Anand; Given that few people can accurately define Web 2.0 - Paul must be asking "What's next?!" - If I have my way, Web 3.0 will see the demise of several traditional business models as enablers (not necessarily web based) disintermediate several unthinkable industries - media and banking come to mind - this interface is too limiting to delve deeper
